Adam Francis Cope
It is with unfathomable sadness that we announce the end of the run for Adam Francis Cope. Adam debuted on the world stage on November 12, 1985 in his first matinee performance. He honed his acting skills on the St. Jean Brebeuf Junior High and Bishop Carroll High School drama stages, as well as with Storybook Theatre. He has performed to great acclaim in numerous professional productions in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Saskatoon and Regina. He also mentored budding thespians as part of Prospero Theatre, bringing Shakespeare to life for students in rural Alberta. In addition, his work with Punctuate! Theatre was dedicated to bringing diverse theatre to Edmonton audiences. Adam leaves behind a supporting cast that includes his mother Frances Duffy, his father and stepmother Don and Annette Cope, his sister and her husband, Jessica and Tyler Williams, his grandparents Lloyd and Bridget MacDonald and Joan Cope, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends. He was pre-deceased by Fred Cope, Adam’s grandfather and new cribbage partner. A final show in Adam’s honour celebrating his love of theatre, his generous spirit, and his ability to make everyone laugh will go up at 7 pm Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Roxy Theatre in Edmonton (10708 124 St NW).
