After an extensive search, the Board of Directors of the Storybook Theatre Society in Calgary is delighted to announce the appointment of JP Thibodeau as Managing Artistic Director, Storybook Theatre. JP will assume full Artistic, Fiscal and Personnel Management duties for Storybook, accountable to the Board.

JP brings a wealth of artistic and managerial experience to Storybook, including General Manager and Artistic Director roles with theatre companies in Ontario, British Columbia and Canmore, Alberta. Most recently JP has been the interim Executive Director for Storybook, leading the company through an incredibly busy and successful season of shows, all produced in Storybook‚s new facility at the Beddington Community Centre. 

JP earned his BA with a focus on Theatre Studies from Brock University with a certificate in Drama in Education, and happily resides in Cochrane with his wife and two children. JP and family remain passionate supporters of theatre for all. 

Storybook Theatre has been delivering quality, engaging theatre to Calgary audiences for over 35 years. In the years to come Storybook under JP‚s leadership will continue its mission to be Calgary’s premiere quality theatre experience for all ages.
