Performance Dates: August 15th-25th, 2013
Audition Date: Saturday, June 8th, 2013
Times: 11:00AM-3:00PM
Location: Grant MacEwan Centre for the Arts (10045 – 155 Street)

Auditions will be held for the following roles:
(The ages should reflect what you read as onstage, not your actual age)

LIAM: Late twenties. A poor farmer, desperate to save his failing farm. He blindly supports William Aberhart, the potential new Premier of Alberta.

RUTH: Early twenties. Liam’s wife. Eager to sell their farm and cut their loses.

JOHN: Late twenties. A former salesman in Calgary. Now reduced to stealing in order to feed himself.

All actors cast will be required to play multiple smaller roles in addition to the three main roles.

A new play, Neverman takes place in Alberta during the Great Depression. Liam and Ruth, a newlywed farm couple, struggle against impending bankruptcy and starvation.

A saviour appears in William Aberhart, a candidate for the Alberta Premiership. If elected, Aberhart promises to issue monthly cheques to all citizens to help them in their time of need.

Although Ruth warns her husband against putting all their eggs in one basket, Liam faithfully believes that committing to Aberhart and his plan is the only way out of the Great Depression.
