CASTING CALL “CUT BANK” a feature film

My name is Rhonda Fisekci and I’m a Casting Director based in Alberta. I will be coming to Edmonton the week of May 13 to hold auditions for the upcoming feature film “CUT BANK” starring John Malkovich, Billy Bob Thornton, Liam Hemsworth and Teresa Palmer and directed by Matt Shakman. I have various roles to cast and want to be inclusive of the great theatre community of actors in Edmonton when doing my audition sessions. If you would like to be considered for an audition and are available for the outside shoot dates of June 12 – July 19 please forward me your headshot and resume ASAP to rfisekci@canadafilm.com.

Matt Shakman is the founder and artistic director of the Black Dahlia Theatre in Los
Angeles, which was named one of “a dozen young American companies you need to
know” by American Theatre Magazine and “Best Small Theatre” by Los Angeles
Magazine and the LA Weekly. His directing work has received multiple Ovation,
Garland, GLAAD and LA Drama Critics Circle awards. He was recently represented
Off-Broadway by the NY premiere of Secrets of the Trade at Primary Stages. His
production of David Lindsay-Abaire’s Good People ran last spring at the Geffen
Playhouse in Los Angeles (8 Ovation award nominations, including Best Production and
Best Director) and this fall he will direct the premiere of a new adaptation of Wait Until
Dark, also at the Geffen. Matt was the recipient of the 2012 LA Drama Critics Circle
Award for Career or Special Achievement in Direction.
Matt’s television directing resume includes comedies and dramas, critically-acclaimed
cable shows and top-rated network programs. Credits include Mad Men, The Good Wife,
New Girl, Revenge, Six Feet Under, House, Hung, and Weeds. He is the director and co-executive
producer of FX’s hit comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (now in it’s
ninth season).
