Character Breakdown (the roles of James, Mary and Jamie are already cast):

Edmund Tyrone: 20 – 30 years old; thin, wiry, tall; extremely nervous, bad health; a poet with political inclinations and socialist leanings
Cathleen, the “second girl”: early 20s “buxom Irish peasant” (as described in the script); amiable, ignorant, clumsy, well-meaning but stupid.
