Call For Artists
Red Phone Theatre is holding a fundraiser for their upcoming season, and are seeking artists of all disciplines to take part.
The event will take place on June 8th in the beautiful National Music Centre downtown. The event will be cabaret style, featuring multiple acts throughout the evening culminating in some musical sets by local musicians Jeremy Park and The Left Behinds.
We are looking for actors, performers, dancers, and performance artists to create and perform a short piece no longer than 10 minutes. In accordance to Red Phone Theatre’s mission, pieces that touch on pop culture/popular narrative in intriguing and meaningful ways as well as work by emerging artists will be given precedence.
Submissions should include:
● A brief description of the piece, including:
○ Approximate length,
○ Number of participants,
○ A description of props/set pieces to be used, if applicable,
○ any technical requirements,
○ and Overall goal of the piece.
● Support materials for all those involved, including resumes, headshots, articles of previous work, etc.
Interested artists should submit a proposal to organizer Alan Johnson at alan@redphonetheatre.com by April 26th, 2013.
