Puppeteer to help conduct puppet programs about water conservation

Puppetual Motion Ltd. is a small Edmonton based company that uses puppetry to teach environmental and social education programs in Edmonton schools. We are currently looking to hire 1 part time programmer to help deliver the city of Edmonton Waste water puppet show.

Responsibilities will include using puppetry, public speaking and various hands on activities to deliver educational programs about caring for Edmonton’s water resources. Other responsibilities may include assisting to develop new programs, computer administration work, and grant writing.

This is a part time job and the hours may vary between 10-20 hours per week and may increase depending upon successful applicant availability, skills and initiative. The work is conducted during the Edmonton school year from September to June.

Qualifications: Applicants must have completed at least 3 years of University. Preference will be given to applicants with a 4 year university degree. A background in science, education, or theater is recommended. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle and previous experience with puppetry is not necessary. Pay will be based on experience.
