Auditions (Calgary): Grandad Was A Soldier – Scorpio Theatre

By retracing Grandad’s steps through WWII, a young man hopes to find some of the connection with his Grandfather that he was unable to forge during his life… and if he can keep his brother from getting arrested while he’s at it, all the better! Award winning playwright Dan Gibbins brings us his newest script, a beautiful and darkly funny exploration of the history that binds all Canadians together and the deeply personal connection we have to those brave souls who fought in that war, and the sacrifices of the people they left behind.
