Capitol Theatre at Fort Edmonton Park
Be part of live theatre at Fort Edmonton Park! We are seeking a pleasant, independent, and organized individual to join the Capitol Theatre team. This position is perfect for someone in school and looking for casual work but predictable work.
Front of House Supervisor will:
• Supervise theatre ushers, bartenders, and other theatre staff during events
• Manage event preparation and closing procedures
• Prepare and inventory the concession/bar
• Provide excellent customer service to theatre patrons
• Oversee the bars, catering and merchandising operations, ensuring a high standard of customer care and promotion of these services to the patrons on event nights.
• If bar volunteers are not available they will serve as bar staff for the event.
• Ensure that volunteers sign in and out and are aware of what is expected of them during their shift.
• Assist in training volunteers
Job Requirements
• Completion of the 12th grade
• Some experience in a theatre setting
• Customer service experience
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR
• Proserve training certificate
• Applicants may be tested
• Security Clearance (will be refunded)
Assets
• Experience of Box Office procedures
• Cash handling experience
• Customer service experience
• Health & Safety Training
• Experience in bars and catering
• Experience in managing volunteers Desirable
NOTE:
• A security clearance is a condition of employment. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Security Clearance letter from the Edmonton Police Services or local RCMP detachment.
HOURS OF WORK: Casual/part time, evenings and weekends with some daytime events.
SALARY RANGE: $14.50 (Hourly).
