Kelowna Summer Theatre Festival will be presenting Private Eyes and [Title of Show] in repertory on the outdoor stage at the Rotary Centre for the Arts during the summer of 2013. We are seeking emerging professional artists who are still in their theatre training at college, university or similar institution, or have recently graduated from such a program.
The Kelowna Summer Theatre festival is holding auditions for its two summer repertory shows on Monday, March 4 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts in Kelowna as well as on February 25 and 26 at Carousel Theatre on Granville Island in Vancouver.
[Title of Show] written by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, is an edgy, contemporary musical for two men and two women. Private Eyes by Steven Dietz is a comedy/mystery for three men and two women.
The acting company of five will perform in both shows except for the third man who will have other production responsibilities in [Title of Show].
Rehearsals start on June 20, 2013. [Title of Show] opens on July 18, 2013 and Private Eyes opens on July 25, 2013. The shows run in repertory until August 11, 2013. Actors will be cast in both shows with a 7 ½ week contract.
Candidates must prepare a song from a recent musical and a contemporary monologue (preferably comedic). An audition accompanist will be present, so actors are required to bring sheet music in a key that is comfortable for them. Head shots and resumes must be brought to the audition or sent electronically in advance.
To book an audition time, please call Vicki or Peter at 250-212-3737 or email email@example.com
