Auditions (Airdrie): Drowning Ophelia – Nose Creek Players

Nose Creek Players will be performing Drowning Ophelia, an original piece written by Kim Cheel. This one-act, book-ended by scenes from Hamlet explores the types of abuse – emotional, mental, and physical.

Characters:

Trucker/Priest: Male (any age)
Dee: Female (any age)
Alice: Female (any age)
Tracy/Gertrude: Female (any age)
Liz: Female (any age)
Chuck/Claudius: Male (late 20′s to early 40′s)
Eric: Male (late 20′s to early 40′s)
Cora/Laertes: Female (30′s)
Matt/Hamlet: Male (30′s)

Actors must prepare a Shakespearean and contemporary monologue, as well as prepare for a cold read.

Auditions will be in the Vincent Room of Airdrie City Hall on Thursday, January 24 from 6:30pm-9:00pm.
