Job (Ellensburg, WA): NTT Lecturer – Design and Production with a Sound emphasis – Central Washington University

Design and Production – Sound Design/Technology emphasis
Central Washington University seeks a NTT Lecturer Design and Production with a Sound emphasis. Responsibilities include: sound design and technology courses, sound/light lab supervision, design and production courses as appropriate, and mentoring student designers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree (by September 2013) in sound design and/or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

MFA in Sound Design;
Training and/or documented professional experience in one or more additional area: media design/technology, lighting, and/or scenic design;
Experience in live sound mixing in musical performance;
Documented experience with QLab,  Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite; Documented experience in teaching sound technology courses at the undergraduate level;
Documented experience in working with diverse populations ;
Ability to work quickly,  efficiently, and meet deadlines;
Documented excellence in undergraduate teaching mentoring and creative scholarship ;
Interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a wide variety of people .

Applicant Information:

This position involves annual contracts which are governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
