From the first read to opening night, Canadian director Micheline Chevrier, will guide participants through a 3-day active learning masterclass on the key steps a director must take to prepare for a successful rehearsal process. Make choices that will guide you towards a strongly unified production but will still leave you open to adapt to discoveries made during rehearsal. Learn different approaches to use in rehearsal and discuss the multiple relationships you will build leading up to tech week. Only 12 spots available – submit your application today!

Micheline Chevrier
For over thirty years, Micheline has had the good fortune of working across Canada as director, dramaturge and artistic director. She has directed at such theatres as the Shaw Festival, the National Arts Centre, the Citadel Theatre, Alberta Theatre Projects, the Globe Theatre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Canadian Stage, Young People’s Theatre, Centaur Theatre, Imago Theatre, Théâtre français de Toronto, and Theatre New Brunswick among others. In addition, she has been, over those same years, Associate Artistic Director at Theatre New Brunswick, Associate Dramaturge at Playwrights Workshop Montreal, Associate Artist at Canadian Stage in Toronto and, most recently, Associate Director at Imago Théâtre in Montreal. From 1995 to 2000, Micheline was the Artistic Director of the Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa. She has also directed and taught at the National Theatre School, Concordia University, McGill University, York University, Dalhousie University and the University of Alberta.
