Jobs (Calgary): Wardrobe Assistant – Vertigo Theatre

Vertigo Theatre is seeking to fill the position of WARDROBE ASSISTANT. This individual would have either professional or academic experience working in a theatrical wardrobe shop. They would be self-motivated and able to work under little supervision with a high attention to detail.

Duties include:
– Assisting the costume designer in the production and strike of the show.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the costume shop.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of wardrobe stock.
– Mend costume pieces during the run of a show.

This is a part-time, hourly position. Hours will be based upon the needs of the show and the theatre. The position would start early February, 2013.

The only theatre in Calgary presenting a full series of plays of national importance for children and teens during the regular theatre season (Y Stage)
Providing a performance home for other arts and arts education organizations (Vertigo Theatre Centre).
