CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS – FRINGE BYOV 2013
Punctuate! Theatre is seeking submissions for its BYOV at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival, August 15 – 25, 2012. Punctuate! will be running the TACOS Space, an intimate 50 seat black-box, very close to the Fringe grounds (10005 – 80 Ave).
Submission Requirements:
- Title and length of proposed show
- A brief description of the proposed show
- Number of performers (please include names and bios if possible)
- Number of desired performances during the festival (min. 6, max. 10)
- Any conflicts to scheduling (ie: if any member of your company is involved in another show, if you are from out of town, when you will be arriving in Edmonton, if you can only do shows before 9pm, etc.)
- Name and information for the primary contact
- All technical requirements (including required storage space for set, props etc., as space is limited)
- Any available support materials (pictures, videos, script excerpts, etc.)
Punctuate! Theatre Will Provide:
- A standard lighting plot with 1-2 specials per show
- One 5-hour technical rehearsal
- An in-house technician (able to run show off a prompt script)
- Sound system with laptop hook-up
- Microphone capability (microphones will not be provided)
- Front of House management and volunteers
- Concession management and volunteers
- Venue maintenance
The Applicant Will Provide:
- A $50 Venue Maintenance Fee
- A $150 Technician Fee
- $1 per ticket sold (this does not apply to comp tickets)
