ABOUT THE SNOW GLOBE FESTIVAL OF CHILDREN’S THEATRE

The Snow Globe Festival of Children’s Theatre is a five day festival taking place at C103 (formerly the Catalyst Theatre) on December 18-22, 2012.

With a goal of producing educational and entertaining content for young audiences and affordable tickets for families, the Snow Globe Festival offers both student matinees and public performances of four plays Babes in Toyland, Robin Hood, Birdie on the Wrong Bus, and The Holiday Half Time Show.

And this year’s festival is getting bigger and better:

We’ve moved!  In an effort make the festival more accessible, we’ve moved from the Avenue Theatre to the beautiful C103 (formerly the Catalyst Theatre) in the Old Strathcona district.

We’ve grown!  This year the festival has grown to include 60 emerging and independent Edmonton theatre artists including 12 student actors.  That means more costumes, and bigger sets!

We’re challenging ourselves!  The 2012 Festival brings new challenges including our first time staging a full musical, our first co-production (with Victoria School), and a new world premiere.

THE IMPACT

Promise Productions is an independent, emerging Edmonton based theatre company. The Snow Globe Festival is mandated to provide affordable tickets to families and as such we require individual grants and donations to offset our production costs. Your donation helps us keep ticket prices low and offer comp tickets to schools that can’t afford to come.
