Free screening of Village of Widows: Nov. 13 at Zeidler Hall, Citadel Theatre, 7 p.m. Post-film notes will be presented by members of a Dene delegation. Admission is free.

Nov. 14: Shelter panel discussion: Librettist Julie Salverson, author Peter van Wyck (Highway of the Atom) and filmmaker Tom Radford (Tickling the Dragon Tails — the Story of Louis Slotin) will discuss Canada’s role in the Manhattan Project. La Cité Francophone, 6 p.m.

Nov. 14-19: Atomicalia exhibit: Items and pop culture created during the Cold War and the post-atomic age will be on display in room 110 of La Cité. The exhibit is curated by Mick Broderick and Bo Jacobs.

Nov. 16: 12 p.m.: Mick Broderick and Julie Salverson will host an informal talk at La Cité about the exhibit.

Shelter runs November 15 – 18, 2012.
