Resource (Edmonton): The Collective Artist Workshare

The Collective Artist WorkShare will create opportunity for artists of varied experience and disciplines to come together to share and grow through the exchange of practical and experiential knowledge. Each CAWS session will be led by an individual from the arts community. The presenter will be challenged to enlighten their colleagues by sharing valuable and insightful information on a specific aspect of their personal artistic pursuits. The collective will listen and learn with an open mind and be challenged to support the presenter, engage in the material and refresh their own perspective.

The first CAWS will be held on November 5th from 7:30 – 10pm at Startup Edmonton 3rd floor, 10363-104 Street (Mercer Warehouse)
Megan Dart will be presenting on media relations with special guest Paul Blinov from Vue, followed by Ellen Chorley presenting on grant applications. This WorkShare will be a Donation Entry event

The second CAWS event will be held on November 19th at a new location around the same time. At that time Ainsley Hillyard and Beth Dart will be sharing on an aspect of their careers.

* Provide affordable and accessible outlet for artists and enthusiasts to increase their knowledge and experience of various aspects of the arts industry.

* Challenge facilitators and presenters to take on a leadership role in Edmonton’s blooming artistic community

* Show and tell is fun – grown up artists should do it too!
