With Wanda Reinholdt
Saturday, November 10, 10:00 – 5:00pm
This workshop will focus on developing the skills required to give consistent and honest auditions. Both for people interested (and intimidated!) by the audition process, and those looking to improve their auditioning skills! Participants will be asked to bring a 2-3 minute monologue, as well as a 2 person scene they would like to work on in class. You are welcome to bring a scene and monologue that you are working on/have worked on. Maximum of 12 participants.
For the past 15 years, Wanda has directed, acted and been involved in numerous Theatre and Film Productions, some of which have been recognized within the Alberta Theatre and Film community. These include “Little Women”, “Corporate Ladder”, and her award-winning production of “Graceland” by Ellen Byron. Her colleagues and the artists she works with hold her to be someone of giftedness and integrity – someone who inspires them to be better and to reach for excellence. Most notably, her production of “Graceland” won Best Director and Best Actress at the 2009 Alberta One Act Festival. And in 2011, one of the actors she mentored and helped to prepare for college auditions was accepted into a prestigious acting program.
Through her studies – Film Acting Apprenticeship with Neil Schell, IRP in Design, Directing Mentorship, BA’s in Theatre/ Music – and with her gifts of administration and encouragement, Wanda is the Artistic Director of Reinholdt Productions, a production company specializing in inspiring greatness through story. Uniquely, they focus on mentoring for personal growth – assisting actors, directors and managers to get in touch with the greatness within and to learn to live it boldly and outwardly. During > mentoring, clients are encouraged to tell stories and create visual art out of their mentoring experiences. As this art is shared, it, in turn, inspires greatness in others. www.reinholdtproductions.ca
