Good Intentions Theatre
Good Intentions Theatre is a newly formed theatre company in Edmonton, and is looking for people interested in becoming involved. The basis of the company is to create and produce quality theatre that is based in truth, or aims to make an impact on lovers of theatre in Edmonton.
Becoming involved can be in any form of theatre performance or production. In order to become involved, actors / actresses are asked to submit a headshot and resume to goodintentionstheatre@hotmail.com. We cannot engage Equity performers. For production inquiries, please e-mail us with a list of qualifications and / or past productions, as well as a short explanation of why you would like to be involved.
The first production for Good Intentions Theatre is an original piece by a local writer, and will be done in workshop form in January 2013, with the potential for a full-scale production during the Edmonton Fringe Festival. Prior to the workshop performance will be an exploration of the script with the cast and crew to allow them to share their thoughts on the script with the writer.
Performers will be contacted with Audition dates and times. You will be asked to have prepared two short (two minutes or less) contrasting monologues to showcase your versatility, and if you so choose, a vocal selection from either pop or musical theatre repitoire. An accompanist will not be provided. Excerpts from the script will be provided for cold reads, and a short interview will follow.
Production inquiries will be contacted and asked to come in and meet with the Good Intentions Theatre team.
All enquiries are asked to e-mail goodintentionstheatre@hotmail.com prior to October 31st, 2012. Late entries may not be accepted.
