Call for Submissions (Edmonton): 24-hour Playwriting Competition – Play In A Day

Play In A Day is bringing back the 24-hour playwriting competition.

Competition Date:
6pm August 18th – 6pm August 19th 2012
University of Alberta – Fine Arts Building

Play In A Day is a 24hour playwriting competition which, through sheer will-power and 100% Arabica beans, aims to launch new scripts into the wonderful world of play development.

The winning script will be announced and read on August 23rd as a part of the Annual Fringe Forums, and development will continue throughout the year with guidance from Professional Edmonton Theatre Artists, as well as the University of Alberta. Application is open to all ages, as long as you have the passion and desire to get you through 24hours of non-stop writing.
