Acting for Stage and Screen – Prelude Artists

Musical Theatre – July 9 -13th
1- 5 pm ages 6-12
5-9 pm ages 13-60

A combination of vocal instruction, musical education, simple choreography, song writing basics as well as storyline and acting basics. Students will perform short scenes with musical number that will be filmed on the final day. Students will receive a DVD with a copy of their work.

(cost $175.00 for the week)

Acting For Stage – July 16-20
1- 5 pm ages 6-12
5 – 9 pm ages 13-60

Students will learn the basics of acting utilizing acting games, improvisation, storytelling, character building and analysis, verbing and objectives versus tasks and the significance of both. Monologues and Scene Study will be included with voice/diction and movement exercises.

(cost $175.00 for the week)

Acting For Screen – July 23-30
1- 5 pm ages 6-12
5 – 9 pm ages 13-60

Students will transfer the work they did for stage and now apply it to film work.Commercial acting and Film Scene Study will be included in this final week, as well as building on the previous scene study, monologues and character work. The final project will be filmed and dvd ‘s provided for each student which will include 2 commercials, 2 monologues, and at least one short scene, as well as a movement piece.

(cost $175.00 for the week)

Runway and Pageant Prep courses by request.

Fall courses will continue on Thursday and Friday evenings.
Classes are held at the Foothills Alliance Church, 333 Edgepark Blvd. NW.
