Auditions (Calgary): Singers – ONCUE Professional Vocal Ensemble

Singers Wanted: Professional Vocal Ensemble

CALLING ALL SINGERS!
Come on out! Show us what you’re got!
There could be a place for you in the award-winning vocal ensemble, ONCUE.

ONCUE is a professional vocal ensemble that blends tight harmonies with a touch of musical theatre to create a unique brand of top-notch entertainment. The smooth synchronized sound, perfect blend and eclectic repertoire, including many a cappella selections, have brought great popularity to this group. This ensemble has performed at many events in Calgary and surrounding areas including PODIUM in Winnipeg (2004), Victoria (2006) and Sackville NB (2008), “Northern Harmony” in Edmonton and the “Harmony Sweepstakes” a cappella competition in California. There are opportunities to perform at private parties, public functions, conventions, international competitions and fundraising events, as well as at Youth Singers Mainstage shows.

We are looking to audition talented, dynamic and skilled performers who are interested in singing challenging vocal music with a strong emphasis on musical independence and a professional performing arts attitude. Since ONCUE works with sheet music, good sight-reading skills are an asset. Experience in a cappella is a plus, but not mandatory.

We will be conducting appointment-based auditions. To book an audition time please contact Chantal Dicks via email at jocelyn@youthsingers.org or by phone: (403) 234-9549 to book an audition.

Interested singers should prepare one song. Backing tracks, if singers should use them, should be on CD.

For further information please contact the Youth Singer’s office at (403) 234-9549 or check out our website: www.youthsingers.org.
