Evergreen Theatre is seeking a full time Production and Program Coordinator.

Evergreen Theatre is a company dedicated to environmental and science based educational theatre for the young and the young at heart, located in Calgary. Evergreen offers curriculum-based touring shows and artist-in-residency programs for schools, workshops and presentations for conferences and organizations nation-wide and provides commissioned works for zoos, science centers, and museums. We also proudly manage a vibrant arts space in the Calgary community.

Our organization began over 20 years ago and has since evolved into a widely regarded professional theatre company and not-for-profit, charitable society.

The role of the Program and Production Coordinator will be to support the overall performance of the company and contribute to the professional functioning of the organization. The Program and Production Coordinator will report to both the Executive Director and the Artistic Producer.

Roles and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, coordinating the sales and operations of touring shows and artist in residency programs, assisting with the production of touring shows, coordinating studio rentals and assisting with special projects and events.

We are seeking a creative, highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. We love what we do and we are searching for a team member who is also passionate about the arts, the environment and young people to work along side our established team.

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent ability to organize and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and team work skills
• Willing to be hand-on involved
• Interest in office and operational work
• Flexibility, initiative and ability to work independently
• Background in the arts and/or business
• Can provide own transportation
• Valid drivers license and police check
• Confident Leadership abilities

Preferred:

Post secondary degree in Arts and/or Business.
Experience in marketing, sales, graphic design, facilities management and/or website maintenance would be an asset.

This is a full time, 10-month contracted position (35-40 hour work week) primarily weekdays with some weekends and holidays, with a possibility of renewal. Salary will be commensurate with experience. A health benefit package with both medical and dental is included. Start Date: September 2012 (negotiable)
