Walterdale Playhouse presents
its 2012-2013 Season: Retrospective

Edmonton, AB – Walterdale Playhouse is proud to announce its 54th season under the direction of Artistic Director, Sarah Van Tassel. Together these plays are a Retrospective — they take us through history. A haunting exploration of loss and connections; a self-reflective, deconstruction of our post-modern society; a classic story simply told; a movement through our shared history blended together with poetry and imagery; and a musical to invigorate the soul.

The Weir by Conor McPherson runs October 17 – 27, 2012, and is directed by Anne Marie Szucs. The Weir is our 2012-2013 Donor Voted Show.

The Misanthrope by Molière, in a version by Martin Crimp, runs December 5 – December 15, 2012, and is directed by Janine Hodder.

Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams runs February 6 – 16, 2013 and is directed by Mary-Ellen Perley.

Burning Vision by Canadian playwright Marie Clements runs April 10 – 20, 2013, and is directed by Sarah Van Tassel.

From Cradle to Stage: An Evening of One-Acts showcases local, emerging playwrights and runs May 20 – 25, 2013.

Anything Goes with music & lyrics by Cole Porter and book by Guy Bolton, P.G. Wodehouse, Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse runs July 3 – 13, 2013, and is directed by Barbara Mah.
