Event (Edmonton): Sing Along Performance – The Sound of Music – Citadel Theatre

A special, one-time only sing-along performance of The Sound of Music has been added Sunday, May 27 at 7:30 pm at the Citadel Theatre. Patrons will be provided with song-books upon arrival and are encouraged to dress up as their favourite character.

“Throughout the run, we noticed patrons humming along, ready to sing the songs that we all know so well,” said Bob Baker, Citadel Theatre Artistic Director and director of The Sound of Music. “Much like with The Rocky Horror Show and Blind Date, we want our audiences to be engaged and be a part of the Citadel experience. We can’t think of a better way to close this spectacular production, as well as the amazing 2011/2012 season!”

The Sound of Music has been enjoying sold-out performances since previews began April 21. The play has already been extended a full week to meet popular demand. Directed by Bob Baker, with musical direction by Don Horsburgh and designs by Leslie Frankish, the play stars Josée Boudreau, Réjean Cournoyer, Susan Gilmour, Susan Henley.
