Mob Hit Productions is currently seeking Stage Managers, Technicians, and Crew Members to be a part of their 2012 Story Lab New Works Festival.
The festival will be featuring three new shows that are products of the Mob Hit Story Lab Intensive; as well as an array of multidisciplinary acts, including live bands, music, and dancers. It will run from Wed. May 30th – Sat. June 9th 2012 at The Arrata Opera Centre with a combination of both evening and matinee performances.
Broken – Choreographed by Cassandra Uhlenberg and Claire Bolton is a dance piece following a young girl’s struggle with drug abuse and the loss of a family member.
I Don’t – Written by Andrea Halwas is a comedy about a wedding set in a rural hockey town where family differences weigh in heavily on the young couples’ special day.
Project Z – Written by Ben Blue and Dan Gibbons is a workshop piece about the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse and what the survivors will do to continue to stay alive.
Currently seeking 2 Stage Managers – One for Broken and One for Project Z. Rehearsals will begin on Sun. Apr. 29th and run until the festival opens. Rehearsals will be split between two rehearsal spaces and running every night of the week. 6:30-10:30pm Monday-Friday as well as 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday. You will only be required to be available for the show which you would be stage managing. No show will rehearse all 7 days.
Currently seeking 2 Technicians to oversee and help run the technical elements for the entire festival. This position will begin on Wed. May 23rd and run until Sun. June 10th. A strong technical background or interest in technical theatre is a requirement.
Currently seeking 3 Crew Members to manage the backstage while the performances are going on; as well as oversee all of the change overs between the shows. These positions will begin on Sun. May 27th and run until Sun. June 10th. An enthusiastic personality and the readiness to work are the qualities Mob Hit is looking for in its Crew.
