Alberta Theatre ProjectsNOTICE OF GENERAL AUDITIONS

Alberta Theatre Projects is holding general auditions on Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30, 2012.

The purpose of the audition is to see those whose work is not known to the ATP artistic staff. Due to the number of requests, if you auditioned for us recently or if your work is often seen on Calgary stages, you are unlikely to get a spot.

To aid in scheduling please indicate your date and time preferences. No phone calls please. Only those candidates selected to audition will be contacted to set up a time.

THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIPT OF RESUMES IS Wednesday May 2, 2012.

FOR YOUR GENERAL AUDITION:

  • Please prepare two contrasting monologues from the contemporary repertoire, lasting no more than five minutes in total. At least one should be Canadian
  • Invited candidates will be auditioning for some combination of the following artistic staff: Vanessa Porteous, Dianne Goodman, Vicki Stroich and Laurel Green.

As of March 26, 2012 the scripts for our upcoming season will be available for reading at ATP reception. Actors who have been invited to audition are encouraged to read the plays to see what parts they’d be interested in playing.
