Position Type: Schedule based on production and rental schedule, and required maintenance of Catalyst Theatre Description: The Technical Director oversees all technical aspects of Catalyst Theatre, in addition to acting as the main technical guidance and operator for all rental clients.
Catalyst Theatre is located in Edmonton, Alberta, in the heart of Old Strathcona. It is a 138 seat black box theatre that is home to Catalyst Theatre and serves a range of rental clients. The technical director must be a flexible individual who is comfortable working with a variety of performance styles and dealing with many different rentals clients. This contract position requires technical coordination of all rentals, as well as general maintenance and up keep to the space when required. In addition to being a team player, the Technical Director must possess strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and technical abilities and time management skills. She/he must enjoy working with people.
