Camp Shakespeare’s mission is to take the Bard’s plays off the page, and put them into the hearts and bodies of our students.

Under the tent at the Heritage Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park, students will learn the basics of Shakespeare’s theatre and meet with the professional artists that make the Freewill Festival possible. Classes are led by theatre instructors who will guide students through Shakespeare’sTHE TEMPEST using games, theatre exercises, music and movement. Students will also receive instruction on basic Stage Fighting from a professional fight choreographer.

Camp Shakespeare runs July 2-20, 2012 at the Heritage Amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park. Camps run Monday-Friday, 9AM-4PM, with a final performance on Saturdays at noon. For scheduling details, visit our WEBSITE.
