Synopsis
Sarah really doesn’t like her father, Jake. Sarah moved to a different continent to get away from Jake, and so met her new fiance, Marek, and his mother, Irina. But now, Sarah finds herself back in Calgary, in the house she grew up in, and back with her father anyway. Can Marek snatch away the axe Jake is holding over Sarah’s head?

Heather Morrow, like Sarah, grew up in Calgary and has lived in Scotland. Unlike Sarah, she didn’t bring back a Scotsman and batty mother-in-law. Heather now lives in Edmonton with her cat, and writes kitchen-sink drama, TYA, absurd comedy, and a blog. Her play A Hate Story, the unpleasant tale of how Valentine’s Day started, will be at this year’s Edmonton Fringe, and she’s working on a brand new script, One Minor Detail, through the Saskatchewan Writers Guild winter retreat.

Featuring: David McInnis, Glenn Nelson, Alison Wells and Jenny McKillop.
Directed/Dramaturged by: Tracy Carroll
