Theatre Transit’s Fundraiser: The Mayday Cabaret!
The Mayday Cabaret offers the unique opportunity for artists, musicians, playwrights, directors, and actors to come together and develop original work in a cabaret-style venue. We are looking for 5-10 minute pieces with the theme of…. emergency!
Interpret this however you like. We are open to any and all proposals: short plays, music, dance, spoken word, movement, poetry, burlesque, etc.
Show date will be May 4 2012 at the Improv Guild following their scheduled Friday night show. There will be food, booze, and amazing artists! Our house band for the night is Peer Support.
If you are interested in being a part of this exciting event, please submit a short project proposal to info@theatretransit.ca.
Proposal deadline is March 16 2012.
Proposals should be 100-300 words and indicate the general outline/structure of your piece, as well as any technical requirements. Please submit a script if possible/applicable.
You can apply with a group or as a solo artist looking to work on a project or help out backstage.
