Event (Calgary): December Strictly Show Tunes Sing-Along

Lynn Marie Calder’s monthly Strictly Show Tunes Sing-Along continues at the Auburn on Monday, Dec 19 – a special extended Holiday edition to include our friends from Dirty Laundry at Lunchbox Theatre (www.dirtylaundrycalgary.com).  

Enjoy belting out ballads with fellow musical theatre lovers – this time featuring an assortment of shows with Christmas or kid-friendly themes/songs (e.g. White Christmas, The Sound of Music, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Mame, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and more) and for the hard-core musical theatre afficionados, a few songs from shows that look like they might be family-friendly but aren’t… (Into the Woods, Avenue Q). Requests welcome.

DOOR PRIZE DRAW: Win tickets to upcoming Calgary theatre productions including UCalgary Operetta Company’s January production of Guys and Dolls (www.ucalgaryoperetta.ca) or an Into the Woods story book.

Lynn Marie Calder is composer/lyricist of the musical comedy No Ordinary Tulip (a work-in-progress recently performed at the Auburn) and creator of Eve: The True Story (Calgary Fringe Festival 2008)
