CALGARY GENERAL AUDITIONS
NOVEMBER 7TH AND 8TH, 2011

Catalyst Theatre’s Artistic Director Jonathan Christenson is holding general auditions for upcoming Catalyst projects. If you have auditioned for Jonathan within the past 18 months, or have previously worked with him on a Catalyst production, you will not need to arrange an audition.

WHEN:
Mon, 7th Nov, 2011, 9 AM – 5 PM (CAEA Members & CAEA Apprentices Only), Movement call:12-12:45 and 4:15 PM – 5 PM
Tues, 8th Nov, 2011, 9 AM – 5 PM (CAEA Members, CAEA Apprentices & Non-CAEA Members), Movement call: 12:45 PM to 1:30 PM and 4:15 PM – 5 PM

WHAT TO PREPARE:
The auditions will consist of two parts:

1. A ten-minute individual session. Please prepare a monologue (contemporary or classical – approximately two minutes) and one song of your choice (any musical style – approximately two minutes).
2. A group movement call. Please wear footwear and clothing that will not limit your movement in any way.
Note: Although Catalyst will provide a pianist, please feel free to self-accompany if you play a musical instrument, to use an MP3 player or CD (Catalyst will provide a CD player), or to sing a capella. If you plan on using our accompanist, you must provide sheet music.

HOW TO ARRANGE AN AUDITION:
CAEA Members: Call Brenda McNicol (780.431.1750) to book a time.
Non-CAEA Members: Submit resume and headshot to Brenda McNicol (brenda@catalysttheatre.ca) indicating your interest in attending the general audition as well as any limitations to your availability. If we are able to accommodate your interest, she will contact you to book your audition time.
