Audition (Edmonton): Citadel Theatre requires child actors

The Citadel Theatre is accepting applications from youth actors with exceptional singing ability to audition for our productions of The Sound of Music and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

  • Each auditioning youth will be asked to prepare a short poem or monologue that is age appropriate and a short song. Bring sheet music so that your child can be accompanied. It is all right to sing a cappella but our preference is to assess how well your child sings with accompaniment.
  • The first round of auditions will be on November 5 and 6 starting with the youngest age group, finishing up with the oldest youth on the final day.
  • The director’s choices for callbacks will be contacted on November 7 and given material to prepare, the time and location of the callback on November 12 and 13.
For more information for parents and to download the application forms, please visit the Citadel’s website at www.citadeltheatre.com/get-involved/auditions
If you have further questions, email [email protected] or call Reception at 780 426 4811 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
