Theatre Alberta 2010-2011 Annual General Meeting
Who: All Theatre Alberta members are invited and encouraged to attend.
What: An AGM, with FREE LUNCH, followed by the closing PlayWorks Ink event – a reading of Sequence by Arun Lakra, winner of the Alberta Playwriting Competition’s 2011 Grand Prize.
Where: Engineered Air Theatre, EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts, 205 8 Avenue SE, Calgary.

When: Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00pm. (Play reading at 2:00pm; donations welcome.)
Why: An excellent opportunity to join and meet your fellow TA members, board of directors, and staff, as well as receive the annual report, elect new board members, and conduct other important society business … and did we mention free lunch?

Interested in joining the TA Board? From our Bylaws: “Nominations for Directors-at-Large must be made in writing and signed by the candidate and two members of the society who are in good standing, and may be made up to ½ (one-half) hour prior to the election of Directors at the Annual General Meeting. The board shall reflect Alberta’s regional diversity and strive to maintain equal representation from each of the three constituencies: educational, community theatre, and professional theatre.”

The TA board has four committees – Governance, Finance, Human Resources/Nominating, and Fund Development – in which membership is open to all members and non-members.
