Charity Callahan, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Calgary International Children’s Festival (CICF) is pleased to announce that David Anderson has been appointed to the new position of Executive Director, effective immediately.
David has been an active participant in Calgary’s arts community since 1987 when he started with the Calgary Centre for the Performing Arts. In 2000, he took his career to new heights by taking on the position of Marketing Manager for the Calgary International Children’s Festival. Over the past decade, David’s career with the Festival has come through a progressive expansion of responsibilities to his appointment as Executive Director. His enthusiasm for operational excellence has directly contributed to the Festival’s ability to sustain its reputation as a remarkable celebration of creativity and community.
With the departure of Artistic Director Kate Newby, the CICF is taking the opportunity to re-structure the organization starting with this appointment and the hiring of a Festival Programmer.
