CHILD & YOUTH FALL DRAMA CLASSES

WHO: 6 – 8 years
WHAT: JUNGLE BOOK ADVENTURES – PART 1
Imagine the jungles of India where a boy named Mowgli is raised by animals. Players will explore characters from the Jungle book and be given a particular character to bring to life. Players will learn how to use their voice and body to express their character with more confidence. Players will assist in Theatre Stagecraft and play for friends and family on the last day of classes.
WHEN: For 10 Saturdays
From September 24 – December 17
(No classes Oct. 1 & 15, Nov. 5)
From: 10am – 12pm

WHO: 9 – 12 years
WHAT: JUNGLE BOOK ADVENTURES – PART 2
Imagine the jungles of India where a grown boy named Mowgli meets other human beings. It is a story about pride, and power and treasure and about fangs and claws and talons. Players will explore the characters from The Jungle Book and be given a particular character to bring to life. Players will learn how to use their voice and body to express their character with more confidence. Players will assist in Theatre Stagecraft and play for friends and family on the last day of classes.
WHEN: For 10 Saturdays
From September 24 – December 17
(No classes Oct. 1 & 15, Nov. 5)
From: 12:30 – 2:30pm

WHO: 13-17 years
WHAT: MONOLOGUES
Imagine auditioning for your favorite role and getting the part. Explore how to interpret a character, truthfully. Learn how to express your character physically and with more confidence. Learn the skills to audition well and play for others on the last day of classes.
WHEN: For 10 Saturdays
From September 24 – December 17
(No classes Oct. 1 & 15, Nov. 5)
From: 2:45 – 4:45pm

WHERE: St. Barnabas Church Hall 1407 – 7 Ave. N.W.

HOW much: $250 ($30 discount for registration by Sept.5/ return players/multiple family members)
