Accompanist Needed for Edmonton Fringe Festival Production of Marry Me A Little

Stage Parsley Productions is seeking an accompanist for their Fringe production of Stephen Sondheim’s Marry Me A Little, to run at the Sugar Swing Dance Club (10545-81 Ave) August 15th through 25th.

Rehearsals are already in progress and are two to three times a week, evenings and weekends in June/July and pick up in August as we near opening. A familiarity with Sondheim-style music (re: difficult) is definitely an asset as the score is challenging. Remuneration will be an even split of profits after costs are recovered. Keyboard can be provided if need be.

Forces of Chaos presents Port Authority by Conor McPherson at The Edmonton International Fringe Festival.

Three generations pursue love and success in contemporary Dublin. A young man moves in with the girl he is secretly in love with; another man is hired for a job that he is vastly under qualified for and an older man receives a mysterious package in the mail that brings back secrets from his past. The production is directed by Amy DeFelice and stars Isaac Andrew, Kieran O’Callaghan and Cody Porter. When Port Authority opened in New York, critic Ben Brantley, of the New York Times, wrote “I found myself holding on to what these actors had to say like I was a 5-year old at bedtime being introduced to ‘The Arabian Nights.’ ” This production is presented by the Sterling nominated company that presented McPherson’s This Lime Tree Bower at the Edmonton Fringe Festival.

Alberta Fringe Festivals (Edmonton): Sez She by Jane Martin – Shhh Productions

Sez She at 32nd Annual Edmonton Fringe

Written to be performed by at least five actresses, this sequel to Jane Martin’s last monologue play will be tackled by a duo of crazy actors who will be reveling in virtues of brevity that include hilarity, surprise, and homespun philosophy. These monologues roam the range of contemporary perspective on everything from sexual harassment to sleeping in theaters to the erotic appeals of silence.
Come enjoy Sez She at this year’s From Fringe with LOVE August 15-25, 2013
