BOOKBAG
The Bookbag is used to group items of interest that are not necessarily accessed from the same search; and then display all selected items as one list. Bookbags are local to the browser; therefore, individuals on separate computers can be working with their own bookbags simultaneously.
Adding items to the Bookbag
Multiple items can be added to the Bookbag during a session. The items are saved in the Bookbag until they are cleared. Please empty your bookbag before you start a new session; otherwise, you may run into problems later when you try to reserve items from this session and your past session.
To add items to the Book Bag:
- While in the catalogue, conduct a search
- From the results list, select items of interest by clicking the check box to the left of the record

- Click Add
• If items already exist in the Bookbag, this button will read Update - A count of items in the Bookbag will appear on screen in green letters

Viewing items in the Bookbag
The Bookbag contents can be viewed at any time. Display the Bookbag by clicking either the Display Bookbag button available from the search results screen or the Bookbag link in the blue task bar from any screen.
Reserving items in the Bookbag
You can reserve the items you have placed in the Bookbag. To do so, click the Log in link on the blue task bar from any screen.
- Click Place a Reserve on Current Bookbag at the bottom of your screen
- Enter your Client Code and PIN number and click the Login button
- You are now in My Profile
- Select each of the titles you want to reserve. Even if you want all the titles on the list, you must select them all before clicking Reserve Selected Items or Reserve All Items.
- The next screen tells you how many books you have just reserved i.e. Reserves - Susan Thomson has 3 reserve(s). New reserves are added. This message is your confirmation that your reservation was successfull. If you don't get this screen, something went wrong. Please try again.
Deleting items from the Bookbag
Individual items can be removed from a Bookbag at any time without clearing its entire contents. To remove an item from the Bookbag:
- Click Display Bookbag or the Bookbag link
- Select the titles you want to keep in your bookbag
- Click Update Bookbag
Emptying the Bookbag
Once you are finished with a Bookbag, it should be deleted. To remove an entire Bookbag, simply click the Empty Bookbag button. If the Empty Bookbag button is not available, first click the Bookbag link in the task bar to display the Bookbag contents and then click Empty Bookbag.
