"If the theatre is to endure, to endear itself to all people, it must reach their hearts...It must touch them to tears and laughter and illuminate for them the strange mystery of their unfathomable destinies."

~ Dr. Betty Mitchell (director, producer, teacher and pioneer of Calgary's theatre community)

The memorial will be on Sept 18 at Festival Place in Sherwood Park and begins at 2pm. As his colleague Joshua Semchuck writes, “He was surrounded by friends who loved him. He loved us too, and reminded us by involving us in the many theatre plays and musicals he directed since the late 1980s. He was an artistic director for Walterdale Theatre, Festival Players in Sherwood Park, and Horizon Players in Spruce Grove. He sat on the boards of ELOPE and Sherard and directed for them as well.
