Before you begin...
We'll be collecting a bit of information about you in this registration form. This information will help both your workshop instructor(s) and Theatre Alberta ensure that your Dramaworks 2012 experience is useful and rewarding.
For all workshops, we will ask you about your previous relevant theatrical experience and your primary goals for your chosen workshop. If you have no relevant theatrical experience, that's okay! Dramaworks 2012 is designed for all levels. We just want to know where you're coming from and what your expectations are.
Keep in mind that your workshop instructor(s) will also see your registration. Succinct, clear and honest answers about who you are and what you want are the most useful information that you can provide.
If you intend on registering for the Dramaworks 2012 Master Class, we will require a bit more of a formal application. This is a professional master class open to artists who have advanced degrees or comparative experience in theatre, dance, design or technical theatre. You will need to upload a copy of your resume (.pdf,.doc or .docx files only) and a letter outlining your experience and why you are interested in taking this workshop.
If you intend on applying for the Michelle Dias Community Spirit Award, you will need a letter of intent outlining both your theatrical experience and community involvement, as well as a letter of reference that speaks to your commitment to your community. You do not need these items now to complete this registration form. You have the option to register for Dramaworks now and submit your application for the Award later. Keep in mind, the application deadline for the Michelle Dias Community Service Award is May 31, 2012.
Theatre Alberta strives to ensure Dramaworks is accessible to all theatre artists and enthusiasts. A limited number of partial bursaries are available based on financial need and merit. If you choose to apply for financial assistance from Theatre Alberta to attend Dramaworks 2012, we will require you to clearly outline your reasons for applying for a bursary in this application form. We will do our best to help.
