There it is, staring at you from the shelf, waiting for you to return; that
script you’ve worked and reworked. It’s as tight as you can make it but
there’s more to be done. You need a fresh perspective, new problemsolving
ideas. It’s time for a workshop. How does a playwright create a
workshop opportunity and prepare to make it as useful as possible? Work
with award-winning new work director Ron Jenkins as he guides you
through the process of workshop preparation. Professional performers
will join you to read scenes and offer a glimpse of your characters. Gain
tools to help you clarify your questions, streamline your story, and extract
the right information for the next phase of your play’s development.
*Participants will be asked to bring a scene from a work-in-progress.
