Lynda Adams celebrates her 19th year as part of the Artstrek team and her 11th as Artstrek’s Curriculum Director. Lynda has a Master's degree from the Laban Centre of Dance and Movement in London, England. She has taught in the theatre programs at the University of Alberta, Grant MacEwan College, Douglas College and the University of British Columbia. Lynda was the artist-in-residence at Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts in Edmonton for 13 years and is currently a full-time faculty member in the Theatre Studies program at Red Deer College. |

Daniel has been involved with summer programming for teens for over 30 years as a student, supervisor, instructor, and administrative director. His love of theatre and educating young people has kept him returning to this valuable program. When Daniel is not administrating Artstrek he can be found performing in Shadow Productions’ interactive murder mysteries, directing musicals, adjudicating drama festivals, and conducting workshops. Daniel is the Director of Fine Arts at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School just outside of Calgary, where he recently directed Seussical and The Crucible with his students. Daniel is thrilled to be exploring Who Has Seen the Wind with the Artstrek team. |
| Geoffrey Brumlik | |

Geoffrey is a former Artistic Director of the River City Shakespeare Festival and has spent three seasons as Associate Director at the Citadel Theatre, in addition to three seasons as Artist-in-Residence. Geoff directed the acclaimed Shakespeare’s Will at the Citadel Theatre two seasons ago, as well as a remounted version of the play that toured to Vancouver last season. His festival directing credits include The Tempest, As You Like It, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Comedy of Errors. His acting experience includes work at the Citadel Theatre, Theatre Network, Catalyst Theatre, the Globe Theatre, and as part of the Young Company at the Stratford Festival. He has a private practice as a voice, text and physical integration coach and has taught at the Foote Theatre School, the Globe Theatre, Dramaworks and The University of Alberta. |
| Stacy Fysh | |

Stacy is currently working as a dramaturge on Strathcona High School’s production of Anything Goes in Edmonton, and as a choreographer and movement coach with Edmonton Children’s Choir. She is on the administration team at Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts in Edmonton where she uses drama techniques such as improvisation, tableau, scene study, storytelling and characterization to engage students in their own learning process. She also works as an acting coach for the National Ice Theatre of Canada, facilitating figure skaters as they develop characters on ice. Her most recent directing credits include Sticks and Stones and The Wizard of Oz at Victoria School and The Odd Couple for Horizon Players in Spruce Grove. She has taught acting and improvisation at Festival Place in Sherwood Park for both young people and adults. Stacy is delighted to be returning to Artstrek — always an adventure waiting to happen! |

Karen has been a drama/technical theatre teacher for more than 25 years. In that time she has written curricula, led workshops and directed in a wide variety of theatre styles from Shakespeare to Stoppard to Ionesco. Recent shows include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Thirteen Hands, The Miracle Worker and Our Town. Currently teaching drama at Lord Beaverbrook High School in Calgary, Karen is eagerly awaiting Artstrek, ready for the fun to begin. |

Karen has performed with many Alberta theatre companies including Theatre Junction, Vertigo Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Alberta Theatre Projects, Lunchbox Theatre, Theatre Network and Ground Zero Theatre. She has been an instructor with Quest Theatre’s Artist in Residency program for 11 years and also co-produces the improvised soap opera Dirty Laundry. Karen received the 2005 Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role. Karen’s writing credits include Ghost River Theatre’s award-winning An Eye for an Eye (co-writer) and CBC Radio’s Absolutely Alberta (co-writer and voice of Gail Fleck). Karen lives in Calgary with her husband Kevin and son Griffin. |
| Jane MacFarlane | |

Jane is an actor and, primarily, a voice and acting instructor who has taught throughout North America. She is currently teaching voice in the Department of Theatre, Speech and Music Performance at Mount Royal College, as well as directing studio productions there. She is also a sought-after voice/accent coach and has coached productions for Theatre Calgary, Theatre Junction, Mob Hit Productions, and Shakespeare in the Park. Some favourite roles include Mrs. Crachit in A Christmas Carol (Theatre Calgary), Barbara Fawcett in The Constant Wife (Theatre Junction), Kate in Taming of the Shrew, and eight roles in Road, for which she received a Leon Rabin/Dallas Theatre League nomination for Best Actress (KDT). She holds an MFA in Acting and a Professional Voice & Speech Teachers’ Diploma from York University. She lives in Calgary with her husband, playwright Neil Fleming and their daughter Emma. |
| Kevin McKendrick | |

Kevin studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts and Canadian Mime School before co-founding ARETE, a company devoted to physical theatre which toured internationally for 13 years. Kevin then worked at the Canada Council for the Arts in Ottawa before taking over Calgary’s Shakespeare in the Park. He currently works as a producer and director in Calgary. Directing credits include the Canadian premiere of The Hobbit (Shakespeare in the Park/Banff Festival), Boy Gets Girl and The Good Life (Theatre Junction), The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek (Sage Theatre), Billy the Kid (Alberta Theatre Projects), Urinetown – The Musical and The Pillowman (Ground Zero Theatre) and Oedipus the King (Pumphouse Theatres). Kevin will be directing the Broadway hit musical The Full Monty in September. |

Randy is an Edmonton-based composer, choral director, vocal coach and music director for theatre. Randy’s composing credits include Canada’s official song for the International Year of Youth and the title theme for the TV series Mentors, as well as over a dozen one-act musical plays for young audiences and six full-length musicals, including his latest work Dream King. Randy has provided musical direction for many theatre companies including Kompany!, Keyano Theatre, Leave It To Jane Theatre, Celebrations and Ensemble for Lyrical Operetta Productions Edmonton, where he is currently Resident Music Director. He currently teaches for the Foote Theatre School at the Citadel and serves as accompanist for the BFA Acting Program at the University of Alberta. He received the 1996 Sterling Award for Best Musical Director with The Secret Garden. Randy is thrilled to be back for his 7th year as an instructor at Artstrek. |

Eric is a Calgary-based director, performance creator, dramaturge and educator who has had the pleasure of working in theatres across Canada and internationally. He is the founding artistic director of Invisible Elephant Performance whose mandate it is to generate performance projects driven by passion, ingenuity, experimentation and a love for the creative process. Eric has directed/conceived eight original productions for Invisible Elephant including: I Flushed My Lover Down The Loo, Touch, Small World and his solo play STRUCK. He was also Theatre Calgary’s Artistic Associate for four seasons where he was the director/curator for the Petro-Canada New Play Initiative: FUSE, in addition to directing The Guys and A Christmas Carol, assistant directing with Neil Munro on Saint Joan and associate directing with Ian Prinsloo on the Betty Award-winning Counsellor-at-Law. |

Roger is a busy set, costume and lighting designer and educator. Based in Edmonton, he has had close association designing for Theatre Network, The Citadel, Teatro La Quindicina, Mayfield Dinner Theatre, Shadow Theatre, Workshop West Theatre, St. Albert Children’s Theatre, Keyano Theatre and L’Unithéâtre, as well as Prairie Theatre Exchange and Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg. Though he only has a single, lonely Dora Award nomination, he does have multiple Sterling Award nominations and multiple Sterling wins to compensate. Roger holds a BFA in Theatre Design from the University of Lethbridge and an MFA in Theatre Design from the University of Alberta. |

Linette has a Master's degree in Drama Education and loves teaching! She teaches performing arts, drama and dance at Eastglen High School where she directed/choreographed Narnia, Chicago and The Princess Bride this year. She recently performed as Madame Volanges in Dangerous Liaisons at the Walterdale Playhouse in Edmonton where earlier in the season she had the opportunity to direct Steel Magnolias. |
