Theatre Network, Edmonton’s second largest producing Theatre Company, is seeking a dedicated and energetic individual for the full-time position of General Manager of the company, which owns and operates the Roxy Theatre on 124th street in Edmonton.
About Theatre Network
Theatre Network has a 37-year history of serving theatre goers and offers a four-show mainstage season focusing on the finest in contemporary world theatre, and including original commissioned works by Alberta Playwrights. The company hosts Nextfest, a multi-disciplinary festival of emerging professional artists, and presents the Roxy Performance Series, featuring a wide range of professional theatre and other performances at its home, the 200-seat Roxy Theatre.
About the position
The General Manager works alongside the Artistic Director, and is responsible to the Board of Directors. Primary responsibilities include fundraising and fund development; human resources and staffing; finance and budgeting; and facility management and operation. Marketing is a shared responsibility with the Artistic Director. The successful applicant will have management experience, excellent communications skills, a demonstrated track record of success, and will be comfortable working in a dynamic, relaxed and team-based atmosphere.
This is a permanent, full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience. Position includes four weeks of paid vacation and extended health benefits. Variable hours including some weekends and evenings will be required. Theatre Network is an equal-opportunity employer
